Retouching Varnish Spray Can 24280004
Purpose: Temporary protection of oil paintings and revival of discoloured (mat) patches
Composition: Cyclohexanone resin, white spirit
Qualities:
- To be used as a temporary protective coat on finger-dry paint and/or for reviving discoloured (mat) patches; apply in thin layers (with a spray can, for example)
- Dries in a few hours and does not yellow
- This varnish does not affect the drying time of the paint if applied in thin layers
- Removable with mild solvents
- Can be thinned with white spirit
N.B. It is very important to apply as little varnish as possible to paint layers which are not entirely dry. A surplus of the solvent in the varnish affects the paint and damages the paint film.
